The batch of 5,000-ton LNG-powered bulk carriers was constructed by Antu Shipbuilding & Repair Co., Ltd. in Guiping City, Guangxi. A total of 22 LNG-powered bulk carriers of this class will be built, with Huopu Marine, a wholly-owned subsidiary of HQHP, providing the overall solution for LNG supply system equipment, installation, and technical support services.

LNG is a clean, low-carbon, and efficient fuel that effectively reduces emissions of harmful substances such as nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides, significantly minimizing the impact of ships on the ecological environment. The first batch of 5 LNG-fueled vessels delivered this time combines the latest design concepts with mature and reliable power technology. They represent a new standardized clean energy ship type in the Xijiang River basin, which is more environmentally friendly, economical, and has higher operational efficiency compared to traditional fuel-powered vessels. The successful delivery and operation of this batch of LNG vessels will lead the upgrading of the clean energy shipbuilding industry and ignite a new wave of green shipping in the Xijiang River basin.

HQHP, as one of the earliest companies in China engaged in LNG bunkering and ship gas supply technology research and equipment manufacturing, is committed to providing efficient, environmentally friendly, and energy-saving clean energy solutions. HQHP and its subsidiary Houpu Marine have been actively involved in various domestic and international demonstration projects for LNG applications in inland and near-sea areas. They have provided hundreds of sets of ship LNG FGSS for key national projects such as the Green Pearl River and the Yangtze River Gasification Project, earning the trust of their customers. With its advanced LNG technology and abundant experience in FGSS, HQHP once again supported Antu Shipyard in building 22 LNG-powered bulk carriers of 5,000 tons, demonstrating the market’s high recognition and approval of HQHP’s mature and reliable LNG gas supply technology and equipment. This further promotes the development of green shipping in the Guangxi region and makes a positive contribution to environmental protection in the Xijiang River basin and the demonstration application of LNG clean energy ships.

In the future, HQHP will continue to strengthen cooperation with shipbuilding enterprises, further improve LNG ship technology and service levels, and support the industry in creating multiple demonstration projects for LNG-fueled vessels and aim to contribute to the protection of water ecological environments and the development of “green shipping.”
